America Recycles Day 2023

America Recycles Day, also known as National Recycling Day, is Wednesday, November 15th!

According to Keep America Beautiful, “America Recycles Day® (ARD), a Keep America Beautiful national initiative, is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.”

Keep America Beautiful urges people to reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle in every aspect of their life.

According a news release, City of Springfield Environmental Services will celebrate America Recycles Day 2023 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, November 15th by offering customer appreciation giveaways at all three of the City’s recycling drop-off locations!

Recyclers are invited to visit Lone Pine Recycling Center, Franklin Avenue Recycling Center, or Yardwaste Recycling Center, to enjoy refreshments, and choose from facility stickers, air fresheners, reusable dish cloths, and other giveaways while supplies last.
