Local Arborists Volunteer for Saluting Branches Day of Service at Springfield National Cemetery

The 9th Annual Saluting Branches Day of Service was celebrated Wednesday, September 20th, 2023. In honor of Saluting Branches Day of Service, local arborists and tree care companies volunteered at Springfield National Cemetery.

Springfield National Cemetery is a military cemetery that contains the graves of U.S. military personnel, veterans, and sometimes their spouses or dependents.

According to Saluting Branches, “This is the largest one-day volunteer event in the tree industry! The Day of Service in 2022, had 3,000 volunteers donate their talents and services to the caring of trees at 83 veteran properties. This translates to over $3 million in donated services!”

Saluting Branches – Arborists United for Veteran Remembrance is a non-profit organization and nationwide movement that celebrates our fallen servicemen and women. They honor American service men and women by organizing volunteer tree and landscape care for the property dedicated to our veterans.
