Springfield Cardinals fans can step up to the plate to save lives in the Ozarks, as Community Blood Center of the Ozarks kicks off the 20th annual Bleed Red Blood Drive to communities all across Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas! πͺππ¬ ππ’π‘ππ§π πππ’π’π?Across the Ozarks, someoneβs friend, family member, co-worker, neighbor or loved one needs blood every seven minutes. CBCO is the sole provider of blood, platelets and plasma to over 40 hospitals in northwest Arkansas, southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas. One blood donation can help as many as three people in these local hospitals.
π£π₯ππ£ππ₯ππ‘π π§π’ ππ’π‘ππ§πDonors are asked to take a few steps to ensure donations operate smoothly on the day of the drive:
1. Drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before you donate.
2. Eat a well-balanced meal around 2-3 hours before giving.
3. Bring your photo identification β this is now required for all donors!
