Parkinson’s Resource Fair

April 15, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

This April, millions of people around the world will recognize April as Parkinson’s Awareness Month. Parkinson’s Group of the Ozarks (PGO) is working hard to make their contribution on a local level. PGO is a non-profit organization based in the heart of the Ozarks with a mission to educate, support research, and improve quality of life for persons with Parkinson’s. Parkinson’s disease is often misunderstood by many, and for those who have it, it can be hard to get the resources needed to handle everyday life. In line with their mission, and in honor of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, PGO will be hosting a Parkinson’s Resource Fair on April 15th from 10 AM-12 PM at the Center for Music Therapy & Wellness, 1312 N. Benton Ave. in Springfield. Families will get the chance to visit with local businesses, organizations, and local community members to learn about all the wonderful Parkinson’s resources available in the Ozarks.

The free indoor event will have community resources from Cox Health, Mercy, Sharlin Health & Neurology, The Bodysmith, F8 Training, Heart Filled Yoga, 417 Elder Law, and many more. In addition, there will be light refreshments and snacks along with a chance to win door prizes.

For more information about the Parkinson’s Resource Fair, visit the PGO’s website or Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ParkinsonsGroup.
