Bald Eagle Days

January 6 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us Saturdays December 16 and January 6 to learn all about bald eagles and search for these magnificent birds along Roaring River! When water sources freeze in the north, bald eagles migrate south to find food and water. With its contstant flowing water and abundance of fish, Roaring River is an ideal location for bald eagles. Stop by the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. to participate in eagle-themed crafts and activities. We will have several spotting scopes to help you look for eagles, and warm beverages for you to enjoy. Feel free to bring your own binoculars, spotting scopes, and cameras.
This program is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water and snacks if you’d like. For more information, call the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center at 417-847-3742.
