SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Crosslines Community Outreach (CCO) is now welcoming guests at the new home of Safe to Sleep, the region’s primary low-barrier emergency shelter for women experiencing homelessness.
Located at 3055 E. Division St., the purpose-built facility provides a permanent home for a program that has served Springfield’s most vulnerable women since 2011. Designed to offer greater safety, dignity and stability, the shelter expands access to services that help women move toward permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
Safe to Sleep operates every night of the year. Shelter hours are 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Sundays and 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
In addition to overnight shelter, guests have access to secure daytime storage for personal belongings, showers, laundry facilities, computer access and case management services. Staff work alongside guests to connect them with housing, employment, healthcare and other community resources.

For nearly 15 years, Pathways United Methodist Church generously opened its doors, providing safety, dignity and hope for thousands of women experiencing homelessness. Their partnership made this ministry possible, and their impact on our community will be felt for generations. What a remarkable gift.”
The shelter serves adult women experiencing homelessness. Children and pets cannot be accommodated. Women seeking shelter services may call Crosslines Community Outreach at 417-862-3586 during regular business hours or 417-761-5555 after hours for information about shelter availability and services.
The new facility was made possible through the successful NEXT LEVELL capital campaign and the support of community donors, partners and public funding sources who helped establish a permanent home for Safe to Sleep.
