Community Partnership of the Ozarks (CPO), in collaboration with the NAACP of Springfield and the City of Springfield, is proud to present the 2026 Citywide Juneteenth Celebration – a powerful weekend of culture, entertainment, community, and commemoration taking place June 18–20, 2026.
This year’s theme, “Rising Together,” reflects the continued commitment to honoring the history and significance of Juneteenth while creating opportunities for connection, celebration, and unity across the Springfield community. From movies and live music to community gatherings and cultural celebrations, this multi-day event offers activities for all ages while recognizing the resilience, contributions, and legacy of Black communities past and present.
“Juneteenth is both a celebration and a reminder,” Darline Mabins, CPO Director of Community Engagement. “It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, honor history, celebrate culture, and continue building a Springfield where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected. This year’s theme, ‘Rising Together,’ reflects the hope and unity we continue striving toward as a community.”
2026 Juneteenth Weekend Lineup:
- Thursday, June 18 – Movie Night at the Moxie Theatre Downtown | 7PM
Black Panther (PG-13)
Kick off the weekend with a special screening of the groundbreaking Marvel film celebrating Black excellence, leadership, and culture. Tickets are $5. - Friday, June 19 – SGF Juneteenth Concert featuring Trina | The Riff | 7PM
Doors open at 6PM.
Enjoy a night of live music and celebration featuring acclaimed artist Trina at The Riff, located at 1900 W. Sunset St. - Saturday, June 20 – Juneteenth Community Celebration | Springfield Expo Center | 11AM–4PM
The community celebration will feature live entertainment, local vendors, food, art, cultural experiences, and family-friendly activities at the Springfield Expo Center, 635 E. St. Louis St. - Saturday, June 20 – Mosaic in the Park | Silver Springs Park Pavilion | 7PM
Hosted by Mosaic Arts Collective, this evening event at Silver Springs Park Pavilion will bring the community together through art, music, and culture.
“Juneteenth calls us to remember that freedom is a shared journey,” said Kai Sutton, President of the NAACP of Springfield. “As we rise together, we honor our ancestors’ courage by building a future where justice, dignity, and liberation belong to all of us.”
