The forest creatures disagree, and with a little magic, poof — he’s left with the tiniest roar. StoneLion Puppet Theatre presents a funny, sweet lesson about bullying and how everyone is important, even the smallest roar.     • Republic Branch Library – “The Emperor Penguin’s New Clothes” 
      • 3:30 p.m. for ages 3-10 in the Friends of the Library Auditorium. Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale comes to life with a twist — or an iceberg. The “Emperor” penguin obsesses over his appearance and demands admiration from his subjects. A contest is announced to create the most magnificent outfit, with half the kingdom’s fish as a prize. Two polar bear tailors arrive with a scheme to win, sparking musical mayhem, flying fish, and a penguin parading in his underwear in this hilarious adventure by StoneLion Puppet Theatre.     • Library Center – The Making of Magneto: How the Holocaust Redefined X-History
      • 7 p.m. for ages 12 and older in the Hatch Auditorium. Dr. Rodney Fierce, a humanities teacher at Sonoma Academy, explores Marvel comics and how the Holocaust shaped the character Magneto. Introduced in X-Men #1 in 1963, later comic arcs reveal his past and how it influenced his actions. Fierce will lead a discussion on how Magneto’s history reflects trauma and how X-Men used pop culture to broaden understanding of the Holocaust for younger audiences.
