Community Foundation of the Ozarks Springfield City chapter of the Youth Empowerment Project recently granted $10,000 to six local nonprofits.
Community Foundation of the Ozarks reports YEP, Youth Empowerment Project, supported by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, is designed to instill core values of grantmaking, service, education and fundraising in high school and middle school students.
The Youth Empowerment Project consists of high-school and middle-school students who participate in community-based philanthropy, promoting the importance of volunteerism, grantmaking, fundraising, and education. Established in 2001, the YEP program now includes nine active chapters across the region.
