The Greene County Senior Citizens’ Services Fund is now accepting applications from the community for Knox Boxes.
The Greene County Senior Citizens’ Services Fund recently announced a new grant to purchase Knox Box door hangers to assist those with health and mobility issues in an emergency. A Knox Box is a small, wall-mounted safe that holds building keys for fire departments, emergency medical services, and sometimes police to retrieve in emergency situations.
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible.
- Applicants must live in the district of Fair Grove, Missouri
- Applicants must have health or mobility issues
- Approved applicants must agree to provide a spare key for the Knox Box

The Greene County Senior Citizens’ Services Fund assists Greene County, Missouri senior citizens in remaining in their homes for as long as they can safely do so and to “provide programs which will improve the health, nutrition, and quality of life of persons who are sixty years of age or older.”
