Drury University is offering Volunteer Income Tax Assistance to the community.
Drury University’s Breech School of Business students who are certified by the IRS will provide FREE tax services to the community as an IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site.
According to a news release, the annual tax preparation service is open to the public and is designed to benefit low-income taxpayers.
See below the dates and times the clinics will be held. VITA clinics are held at the O’Reilly Enterprise Center on the corner of Central Street and Drury Lane. The site calls its last client on each date one hour before closing.
- Monday, February 3rd, 2025 – 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
- Thursday, February, 6th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Monday, February, 10th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Thursday, February, 13th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Monday, February, 17th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Thursday, February, 20th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Monday, February. 24th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Thursday, February, 27th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Monday, February, 3rd, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Thursday, February, 6th, 2025 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Drury students will also participate in tax preparation at the Taxapalooza Community Event, held at the Springfield Dream Center. See below the date and time the event will be held.
- Saturday, February 15th, 2025 – 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Taxpayers need to bring photo ID and Social Security cards for themselves and dependents, as well as any tax documentation that they have received, including all W-2 forms, 1099 forms, and statements issued by brokerage firms. Clients are also asked to bring a copy of their 2023 state and federal tax returns to help speed up the filing process.
