Medicaid patients NOW ACCEPTED at MSU Care Clinic

Missouri State Unviersity recently announced the Missouri State Unviersity Care Clinic is now accepting Medicaid patients.

The clinic has expanded eligitability for care by eliminating a it’s past Medicaid ineligibility requirement.

The following are current requirements to qualify for care from the MSU Care Clinic.

  • Patients must be between 18-64 years old
  • Patients must have no health insurance
  • Patients must have a household income equal to or less than 200% of the federal poverty line

According to a news release, Dr. Mark Smith, dean of the McQueary College of Health and Human Services shared, “The clinic provides a valuable service to the community while simultaneously serving as an educational center for the upcoming health care workforce of the future. MSU faculty and staff are excited about the expansion of the clinic and, in collaboration with Mercy, are dedicated to serving and providing patients quality and affordable medical care.”

Justin Gassel, MSU Care Clinic manager, also shared, “Our mission is to provide a medical home for some of the most vulnerable people in our community. This expansion allows us to do exactly that.”

MSU Care Clinic is located at Missouri State University in the O’Reilly Clinical Health Sciences Center at 640 East Cherry St., Room 105 in Springfield, Missouri.
