United Way of the Ozarks funding grants for 20 programs operated by 15 local Nonprofits

United Way of the Ozarks recently funded two-year grant to 20 programs operated by 15 nonprofit organizations!

All 20 programs United Way of the Ozarks is funding, are focused on championing children and providing pathways out of poverty. According to a news release from United Way of the Ozarks, of the 20 funded programs, 17 champion children and provide pathways out of poverty. Three programs are focused solely on championing children.

The money for the grants is provided by donations to United Way of the Ozark’s Community Investment fund.

According to a news release from Springfield Business Journal, “Mary Sue Hoban, director of communication and engagement for United Way, said more than $821,000 is being provided in the first year of the grant program.”

This is the second two-year cycle of grants funded using United Way of the Ozarks sharpened Community Investment process. In the first cycle, July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024, United Way of the Ozarks funded 21 programs provided by 14 nonprofit partner organizations.

  • Good Dads
  • Harmony House
  • iPour Life
  • KVC Behavioral Healthcare Missouri
  • Ozarks Food Harvest
  • Ozarks Literacy Council
  • The Victim Center

All nonprofit organizations granted are now considered United Way of the Ozarks partners.
