The Springfield-Greene County Library District’s Midtown Carnegie Branch is now temporarily closed for renovations.
Midtown Carnegie Branch Library will be temporarily closed for approximately 10 months for building renovations.
According to a press release, renovations include an addition of accessible ramps to the basement and main floors that will be enclosed inside a new addition that will protect them from the elements, repairs to the branch’s elevator that runs between the lower level and the second floor, a new energy-efficient HVAC system and water piping, etc.
The Springfield-Greene County Library District has shared that all library services will be closed during this renovation. Please note…
- Storytimes and book discussions will be moved to Fairbanks, located 1126 N Broadway Ave in Springfield, Missouri.
- The Community Fridge will be temporarily relocated to the Library Station.
- The Computer Training Center will move to the Library Center.
- All building staff will be relocated throughout the district.
