Missouri State University recently announced the dates of their President finalist forums.
In a news release, current Missouri State University President Clif Smart announced of his retirement in September of 2023. President Smart share he will be retire in the summer of 2024. Shortly after this announcement, Missouri State University conducted a national search by a selected Seach Committee to replace President Smart.

In January of 2024, Missouri State University announced in a news release, the three finalists for president, Dr. John Jasinski, Dr. Roger Thompson, and Dr. Richard Williams.
Missouri State University shares that the final candidates for the next president of Missouri State University will be scheduled for a two-day visit in both Springfield and West Plains in February 2024, to take part in a series of open forums across the university system.

All open Springfield forums will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in Plaster Student Union Theater at Missouri State University.
The Springfield forums are as follows…
- Dr. Richard Williams on Thursday, February 15th, 2024
- Dr. John Jasinski on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024
- Dr. Roger Thompson on Thursday, February 29th, 2024
All open West Plains forums will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in Fowler Lecture Hall located in Looney Hall at Missouri State University – West Plains.
The West Plains forums are as follows…
- Dr. Richard Williams on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024
- Dr. John Jasinski on Monday, February 26th, 2024
- Dr. Roger Thompson on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024
