Multiple organizations awarded State Tax Credits around the Ozarks

The Missouri Department of Economic Development recently announced that it will award over $9 million in tax credits to 46 organizations for community development projects in Missouri through the Neighborhood Assistance Program.

The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) is administered by the Division of Business and Community Solutions, NAP helps nonprofit organizations leverage private-sector funds by providing partial state tax credits to businesses that make contributions to approved community improvement projects. The program can help fund job training initiatives, crime prevention, community service projects, and revitalization of community-based buildings and areas. – Missouri Department of Economic Development

  • Dogwood Ranch Corp.
    • Rogersville, Missouri
    • $191,842
    • Corp.RogersvilleDogwood Ranch Corp. will utilize NAP credits to support its Haven and Healing Reins programs that will provide critical support to children, youth, individuals, and families who are trying to heal from traumatic events in the Christian County area. Healing Reins uses Equine-Assisted-Psychotherapy to provide mental health treatment to victims of childhood abuse and neglect, active military combat, sex trafficking, etc.

  • Horses of Hope – Missouri, Inc.
    • Rogersville, Missouri
    • $350,000
    • Horses of Hope -MO, Inc. will utilize NAP credits to support its H.E.A.R.T. and HOPE (Healthy Equine Assisted Relationships and Therapy) project that incorporates equine assisted activities, equine assisted mental health, therapeutic riding and experiential/recreational opportunities. Theseprograms will serve individuals suffering from psycho-emotional trauma, domestic violence, physical/sexual abuse, and behavioral disorders and disabilities in the Greene County area.

  • Lake Regional Health System
    • Lebanon, Missouri
    • $350,000
    • Lake Regional Health Systems will utilize NAP credits to build a 21,000-square-foot Outpatient Surgery Center. Upon completion, the facility will provide same-day orthopedic and gastrointestinalprocedures to residents in Laclede and Pulaski counties.

  • Least Of These, Inc
    • Ozark, Missouri
    • $125,000
    • Least Of These, Inc. (LOT), a full-service food pantry, will utilize NAP tax credits to provide food assistance, food-related resources, and special evening hours for working clients, as well as a mobile food pantry in Chadwick in eastern Christian County and Clever, the western portion of the county. Monthly more than1,400 Christian County families, with over 4,100 individuals, including 1,500 children and 800 seniors,visit Least Of These for assistance because they are food insecure.

  • Lester E. Cox Medical Centers
    • Branson, Missouri
    • $249,995
    • Lester E. Cox Medical Centers will utilize NAP credits to construct a 30,000-square-foot building for an increased access primary and specialty care clinic. Construction will include 54 exam rooms, 3 procedure and 2 endocrinology rooms, offices, and a radiology suite. Upon completion, the clinic will annually provide care to 24,457 individuals in Stone and Taney Counties in Southwest Missouri.

    • $249,672
    • The Springfield Dream Center will utilize NAP credits to renovate the 6,300-square-foot basement of the current facility. Renovations include layout reconfiguration, updated electrical and HVAC, hazard remediation, and plumbing. Upon completion, the space will be used for the Dream Academy and RISE programs.

    • $250,000
    • The Discovery Center of Springfield, Inc. will utilize NAP funds to deliver quality STEM education directly to underserved populations by sending STEM educators and their hand-on materials to them. Providing science lessons will engage students, meet Missouri Learning Standards, support classroom educators, and ultimately contribute to introducing students to potential future careers in science fields.
