2024 Drury VITA Clinics – Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

Drury University is offering an Income Tax Assistance Service to the community.

According to a news release from Drury University, Drury University’s Breech School of Business students are certified by the IRS to provide some FREE tax services to the community as an IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. They can help most members of the community with income of $58,000 or less.

Each 2024 Drury VITA Clinic is held at the C.H. “Chub” O’Reilly Enterprise Center and Breech School of Business Administration on the second floor at Drury University.

The 2024 Drury VITA Clinics Schedule is as follows…

  • Monday, February 5th, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Monday, February 12th, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Monday, February 19th, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Monday, February 26th, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

The students will be calling the last client at 6:30 p.m.

  • Drury University’s Breech School of Business students will also participate in Taxapalooza, on Saturday February 17th, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Springfield Dream Center.

Drury VITA Clinics are not allowed to do tax returns for taxpayers in regards to taxpayers with bankruptcy or insolvency during the tax year, rental property, self-owned business with inventory, self-owned business with a loss, self-owned business with depreciable property, and forgiveness of credit card debt with an amount listed in Box 3 of the Form 1099-C (proof of forgiveness of debt).
