Andy’s Frozen Custard located at 1300 East Battlefield Road, in Springfield, MO will be closing permanently Sunday, January 28th, 2024.
Andy’s Frozen Custard recently announced on their Facebook page of their decision to close. See their full statement below.
“A message to our customers. Effective January 28, 2024, our Battlefield Road location will close permanently.
Battlefield Rd., while it was a great South Side addition, originally was not intended to be a long-term endeavor. When it opened in 2013 it was to be a short-term solution for added coverage in South Springfield as we had plans to add a full-size store on South Glenstone, and then eventually opportunities for South National, and Republic, Missouri as well. The Battlefield Rd. location was intended to generate customer sales in the Southeast part of town by the mall and other retail locations until the larger, newer stores were constructed.
Now that Skateport, National Ave., and Republic stores are open, we have large, newer facilities that are better suited for both our customers and our employees, and therefore the Battlefield Rd. store no longer fits in the Springfield market plan.
Our staff will have the opportunity to relocate within the Springfield, Missouri market.
