The Springfield Sports Commission recently announced two new sporting events that are coming to the Ozarks!
According to reports, the two new sporting events are estimated to add $4 million total to the Ozarks’ economy.
One of the sporting events coming to the Ozarks is an AAU-type youth basketball event, NXTPRO Hoops Series. The NXTPRO Hoops Series will take place at the following locations, The Clubhouse, The Fieldhouse, and Strafford Sports Center. The basketball event is scheduled to take place on the July 4th weekend in 2024.
NXTPRO is an AAU-type spring and summer youth developmental league that tries to help players get exposure to college programs while improving their skills.

The other sporting event coming to the Ozarks is an annual series of wrestling championships held by Missouri’s USA Wrestling organization at the new arena at Wilson Logistics Arena located in Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. The series of wrestling championships are scheduled to take place over the next three years.
Missouri USA Wrestling is the central organization that coordinates amateur wrestling programs in the nation and works to create interest and participation in these programs.

The Wilson Logistics Arena is a BRAND NEW arena located at Ozark Empire Fairground and Event Center in Springfield, Missouri. According to Ozark Empire Fairground, the arena is a 100,000 square feet facility that seats over 6,300 people, with additional upper-level seating of 2,800+. The arena was designed for trade show events, concerts, sporting events, cheer competitions, motorsports, horse shows, livestock shows, picnics and so much more. The arena can be set up with a concrete floor or dirt floor to accommodate all types of events.
