Drury University recently hosted a Service Plunge!
This was the university’s first Service Plunge since the start of the pandemic.
According to a press release from Drury University, on Monday, August 21st, 366 incoming freshmen and transfer students volunteered around the community at six different locations for the Service Plunge. The locations include Silver Springs Park, Smith Park, Springfield Art Museum, Fassnight Park trailheads, Convoy of Hope World Distribution Center, and Center for Agriculture and Food Security.
Drury University’s Service Plunge provides a platform for students to give back and encourages lasting relationships between the university and surrounding community organizations. Through hands-on volunteering experiences, students gain valuable insights, develop teamwork skills and create memories that last a lifetime. – Drury University
