Most schools across the Ozarks are back in session this week.
If you have a child going back to school, or know someone who does, please read or share the information below to ensure children and parents are informed and partake in the essential tips below for back-to-school.
- Back to School Photos
- Do not share your child’s school name.
- Do not share your child’s teacher’s name.
- Do not share your child’s favorites.
- Do not share logos of your child’s school or give the location of your child’s school .

- Transportation/ Bus Routes
- Make sure you know your child’s bus route.
- Bus routes can generally be found on the school website or on your child’s school districts parent portal website.
- Make sure your child is wearing a seat belt.
- Younger children should use car seats or booster seats until the lap-shoulder belt fits properly (typically for children ages 8-12 and over 4’9”), and ride in the back seat until they are at least 13 years old. – American Red Cross
- Riding a bike to school
- Make sure your child wears a helmet.
- Make sure your child rides on the right, in the same direction as the traffic is going.
- Make sure you know your child’s bus route.

- Double check your child’s school has accurate contact information for both parents and/or guardians and any other emergency contacts.
- Double check you have your child’s schools contact information.
