The 2023 Birthplace of Route 66 Festival is Thursday, August 10th through Saturday, August 12th! This will be the 11th anniversary of the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival.
The Birthplace of the Route 66 Festival is known for it’s annual a car show, Gypsy Poker Run/bike show, Rockin’ The Route, live music, parade, Route 66 exhibits, etc.
This year, the festival announced they have added another activity to the schedule called ‘The Great Route 66 Talent Search’. The Great Route 66 Talent Search is hosted by KY3 and the City of Springfield. The Great Route 66 Talent Search is seeking out performers, both amateur and professional, for their chance to win a virtual front-of-the-line audition to NBC’s America’s Got Talent!
The Great Route 66 Talent Search will consist of 3 rounds including prelims, semifinals, and finals. Finals will be a live competition at the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival.
The deadline for entries is 5:00 p.m. CT July 13th, 2023.
