CASA of Southwest MO – Opens New Headquarters

Congratulations to CASA of Southwest MO for opening a new headquarters!

CASA of Southwest MO new headquarters, Dan & Kim Piddington Headquarters, is located at 627 N. Glenstone Ave in Springfield.

The headquarters is reported to be one of a kind, featuring a kids’ clubhouse. “The CASA clubhouse is the first of its kind in the state of Missouri,” said Executive Director of Casa Laura Farmer. ”With this new headquarters facility, we are providing housing, training, serving, etc., as well as with the new CASA Clubhouse volunteers can visit with the children they are serving, families can have supervised family visitation to support the reunification effort, a full kitchen can be used for cooking classes and meals, a conference room for monthly meetings, and more.”

Laura Farmer also shared, “Foster Care children sometimes feel hidden from the community, or don’t often know if people recognize who they are, they don’t know if they are seen, heard, or even if they matter… with this celebration and ribbon cutting and the success of this campaign, we are showing our children in foster care that they matter, that our community cares about them, and that you all see them and value them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates.  CASA is a national association in the United States that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children. CASA are volunteers from the community who complete training that has been provided by the state or local CASA office. – CASA
