November 1st begins the opening of “Crisis cold weather shelters,” in Springfield!
If temps fall to 32 degrees or below for at least four consecutive hours between 7 pm and 7 am, the shelters will be open.
If you do not have shelter, or knows of someone needing shelter for the overnight, use one of the shelters listed below.
The nine shelters are located at :
- Asbury United Methodist Church, adult, pet-friendly shelter located at 1500 S. Campbell Ave.
- East Sunshine Church of Christ, men’s shelter located at 3721 E. Sunshine St.
- Eden Village, located at 2801 E. Division St.
- Grace United Methodist Church, women’s shelter located at 600 S. Jefferson Ave.
- Harbor House, men’s shelter located at 636 Boonville Ave.
- Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1609 N. Summit Ave.
- Revive 66 Campground, located at 3839 W. Chestnut Expressway
- The Connecting Grounds/Venues 425, located at 4341 W. Chestnut Expressway
- Unity of Springfield, adult shelter located at 2214 E. Seminole St.
